Our approach is simple. Stake Facebook Groups help members recognize their personal influence and use social media as a tool for good. When members share real experiences and simple testimonies in action, we fill the digital space with light, connection, and faith.
Each stake group encourages uplifting, original content from members and leaders. Posts should reflect daily discipleship, service, hope, and experiences that strengthen belief in Jesus Christ.
The group is designed as a space for members of the stake to support and encourage one another. Because the group is open, posts may appear in members’ personal newsfeeds, and friends may see comments from people they know. This visibility helps others see what discipleship looks like in real life and allows them to engage with the content, even if they are not members of the group.
Members are welcome to use familiar Church language. While learning to use more universal language can be helpful as members interact with broader audiences, it is not required in this group.
Stake organizations may share information or invitations when appropriate. Advertising-style posts should be minimal. Posts grounded in personal experience are far more effective and meaningful than announcements alone. For example, sharing an experience while serving often resonates more than simply posting a JustServe opportunity.
Balance matters. The group should reflect a variety of experiences and voices. While service opportunities may be shared, the group should not read as a JustServe feed or organizational bulletin. Personal experiences of living the gospel and sharing the Light of Christ should naturally dominate the space.
The online presence of each Church member is a powerful tool for sharing the Light of Christ. Personal, authentic efforts reach and inspire others in meaningful ways.
Members are encouraged to:
Recognize their influence and share the Light of Christ through social media
Demonstrate love and kindness in all online interactions
Seek inspiration through prayer for what to share
Share often in small and simple ways, trusting that their voice matters
